Welcome to Higher Level Dogs!

Why Higher Level Dogs?

I began dog training in 2012 and since then have been training working dogs for roles with Police, Detection and Law Enforcement Agencies worldwide (you can find more detail by clicking here!)

In 2024, I decided to expand with the aim of bringing my knowledge and methods to the every day pet owner.

Our logo perfectly captures our training ethos. We bring all four quadrants of operant conditioning together with the “black magic” learned from years of working with some of the most extremely driven dogs and influential trainers on the planet.

Using all four quadrants of operant conditioning allows me to offer a unique training plan for you and your dog. Because I do not only train using positive reinforcement, I can provide much faster results than other trainers – with noticeable results often achieved in one or two sessions.

I am passionate about educating owners on basic dog training theory which will allow you to understand why your dog does what it does and will help prevent issues from arising in future.

I also welcome people who have tried seeking help with other trainers whos methods have either not worked or not “stuck.” I have been able to fix several dog behaviour issues that were evaluated by other trainers who advised that their dogs could not be helped – and in some cases where trainers recommended the dog be put to sleep – so if this is you, please get in touch!

Our Facilities

In 2024, we moved onto a farm which allows us to offer unrivalled training facilities for all of our training – whether that be for sport/working dogs or pets. Our facilities include:

  • 1 acre outdoor training field.
  • 2.5 acre fully enclosed field – useful for overcoming training problems such as unreliable recall, in a safe environment.
  • Large indoor facility currently under renovation that will have heating, seating area, astro grass flooring, screens and display equipment for delivering seminars/information at training, full height mirrors for advanced obedience, detection walls for the training of detection dogs and much more.
  • 10+ acres of fields for tracking, man trailing and general exercise with access to several acres of forest land.
  • Access to livestock such as chickens, horses, sheep, cattle etc. for training issues around animals or as another dimension to introduce during “stimulus control” training.
